The historical Çeşme Hamamı was built by Grand Admiral Kaymak Mustafa Pasha at the end of the 1720s during the Tulip Era. It was used alternately by men and women. The bathhouse remained in operation until 2017 when it was restored while preserving its original structure. Çeşme Hamam was reopened by The Galata Istanbul Hotel MGallery by Sofitel, honoring its traditional style, and continues the 300-year-old practice of water therapy.

Know before you go to the Tarihi Çeşme Hamamı
Historical (Tarihi) Çeşme Hamam is suitable for use as a couple and is a private area.
Everything you may need is available to hamam.
Bathrobes, towels, special Turkish bath towel peştemal, disposable shorts for men, disposable underwear for women, slippers, shampoo, conditioner and hairdryer.
You can bring your own personal belongings that you want to use. The choice is yours.
Tarihi Çeşme Hamam is open every day from 9 am to 10 pm.
Therapists doing the hammam and massage are only women.
Men usually completely strip and wear nothing underneath the bath wrap. Women, on the other hand, typically keep their underwear on (but often not their bra) underneath the bath wrap. The choice is yours.
Standard soap is used. If you have sensitive skin or are allergic to some products, bring your own soap
Advance booking is always advisable
The tip is normally 10-20 per cent of the total amount

How do I make an appointment?
First, choose the bathhouse you want to visit. Once you’re on the page with the details of your selected bathhouse, navigate to the “Make an Appointment” section. Here, select the service, the number of people, the date, and the time. Then, fill in your personal information, including your name, email, and phone number. Finally, complete your appointment by paying the required deposit with your card.
Do I have to pay to make an appointment?
Yes. The deposit payment rate varies depending on the baths, ranging from 10% to 30%.
You can find the exact deposit amount you will need to pay on the Summary page, where you enter your card information in the final step of the “Make an Appointment” tab.
When will my appointment be confirmed?
Once you create your appointment, you will receive an email confirming that it has been successfully scheduled. For some baths, you may receive an instant confirmation, while others may take a few hours to confirm your appointment.
I have not received the confirmation email for my appointment. How can I check the status of my appointment?
If you haven’t received a confirmation email for your appointment and would like to check its status, please go to Home > My Bookings. Appointments that have been confirmed will be labeled as “Approved,” while those that are still awaiting confirmation will be marked as “Pending.”
How can I see the details of my appointment?
You can check the details and status of your appointment on the Home > My Bookings page.
I won't be able to make it to my appointment. Can I reschedule?
Yes, you can reschedule your appointment up to two weeks in advance. If there is still enough time before your appointment and you’re unable to make it, you can reschedule based on the availability of the hamam. However, if the hamam is fully booked, your deposit will not be refunded for appointments that cannot be rescheduled.
If I missed my appointment, can I get a refund for my deposit?
Sorry, no. If you missed your appointment, you will not get a refund for your deposit.
How many times can I reschedule my appointment?
You can reschedule your appointment one or two times, as long as you do so at least two weeks in advance. The ability to reschedule depends on the availability of the hamam. If the hamam is available, your new appointment date will be reflected on the Home > My Bookings page.
What is a non-refundable deposit?
Tickets for hamam appointments made through our website are non-refundable. However, they can be rescheduled. To support local hamams and minimize no-show rates, we secure the appointments with a deposit.
